By undertaking an Assessor qualification you’ll be able to demonstrate you are competent to assess SVQs, other regulated workplace qualifications or in-company standards.  You need to be competent in the area you assess and you must work with 2 learners for 2 units/competencies each.

To achieve the assessor qualification you’ll be expected to show you can assess learners using direct and indirect methods. This includes preparing to assess, planning assessments, assessing learner performance and knowledge and confirming progression and achievement.

When undertaking the qualification with Quest will have the following support mechanisms:

• Half day induction (usually on TEAMS).
• Assessor Support Pack.
• One-to-one meetings with your assessor.
• You can also easily contact your assessor via email, phone or TEAMS.
• Support for 1 year from commencement.
• Observation of you interacting with your candidates and providing constructive feedback
• Uploading of evidence to myQuestportfolio 

It is ideal if you can shadow an assessor for your area of expertise prior to starting. Also we would prefer to arrange the induction when you have two learners to assess.
