Our SVQ Programmes


SVQs come in different levels to suit different types of jobs

- Management level 7,9,11 
- Administration Level 5,6, and 8
- Diploma in Providing Customer Services Level 5 and 6
- Customer Service Award level 5 
- Learning and Development level 8 and 9 
- Social Services and Healthcare level  6 and 7 
- Social Services (Children and Young People) level 7 and 9


Single level 10 units
- H7LG 04 Manage and Develop yourself and your workforce within care services
- H7LH 04 Lead and Manage Practice that promotes the safeguarding of individuals

Professional Development Awards
PDAs are shorter, focussed qualifications normally made up of two to three units from an SVQ.  

- Assessor Qualification. SCQF Level 8
- Internal Verifier SCQF Level 8
- Conduct the Assessment Process SCQF level 8. For Assessing non-vocational qualifications. 
- Conduct the Verification Process. SCQF Level 8. For Verifying non-vocational qualifications.

- Leadership – SCQF level 8. 
- Managing Self and the Work of others - SCQF level 7
- Strategic Leadership - SCQF Level 11
- Training and Development for Delivery to Groups - SCQF level 7

SQA have introduced flexible PDAs in management and leadership and Quest can also offer these options.

-  Planning and Implementing Change at SCQF L9

-  Leading Change - SVQF Level 9 

FUNDING

Part-Time Fee Grant from Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS)
This scheme can provide more than £500 and up to £1195 a year towards the cost of tuition fees. You need to earn under £25000 to qualify.

The Quest qualifications that are eligible for the funding are SVQs in:


Management 7 and 9
Administration 8
Learning and Development 8 and 9
Social Services and Healthcare SVQs Level 7
Social Services and Healthcare SVQs Children and Young People Level 7

and 

PDA Training and Development for delivery to groups level 7


To qualify for this funding, you should have an income of £25,000 a year or less.

You need to be studying a part-time Higher Education course, Professional Development Award (PDA) or Continuing Professional Development (CPD) at levels 7-10 of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) and complete between 30-119 SCQF credits per year.
