REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene
We've all suffered the inconvience of food poisoning at some point, but some severe cases can lead to severe illness and even fatalities. At Quest (Scotland) we want to ensure that your staff understand the importance of food hygiene, and as a result your reputation is preserved.
Accredited by the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland, Quest is now offering qualifications in Elementary Food Hygiene. To gain the qualifications you need to attend Quest's one-day workshop and sit a short multiple choice test.
The Elementary Food Hygiene course covers:
- An introduction to food hygiene
- Bacteria and their characteristics
- The incidence of food poisoning and its prevention
- Personal hygiene and working habits of the food handler
- The working environment
- Cleaning practices
- Common food pests and their control
- Food legislation
